Robert Solomon was attracted to the building as a site to redevelop Woodland Studios, his Five Points business that was destroyed by the 1998 tornado that hit East Nashville.

He plans to rehab the facility, for not only a theater that will feature independent films and performances, but he also hopes to include a live high quality studio to give artists a chance to have their acts recorded.

The old laundromat, corner shop building at Arrington and Meridian is coming on the market.

This building is a good commercial space in an area moving the direction of Germantown and 5-points.  The old Roxy theater on the next block up just sold, so this area could become a revitalized urban commercial space soon.

I (Josh) live across the street from it, and I’m not moving anytime soon.  I’d love to be helpful to someone who has a good idea for this place.

It looks like an historic house scheduled for demolition has been re-slated for renovation! I heard that Habitat for Humanity will invest $70k to fix it up.

Mighty applause to neighborhood residents, our councilperson, Habitat and the city of Nashville that made this happen.
